ACC Recap for April 6th



Florida State 10 NC State 4


Bryan Henry continued his perfect start to the season by going seven strong innings while allowing three runs on six hits. Brandon Reichert led the Noles offense by grabbing 4 RBIs including a home run. Buster Posey led all players with three hits.

UVA 4 Duke 0

The Virginia Cavaliers received complete shutout from Jacob Thompson who allowed only four hits while striking out ten to pick up the 4-0 victory over Duke. Greg Miclat, Sean Doolittle, and Brandon Marsh all went 2-3 in the game to lead the offense.

Georgia Tech 9 Miami 2

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got a three run homer from Wally Crancer in the third inning to lead the Jackets to the 9-2 victory over Miami. David Duncan pitched 5.1 innings while giving two runs to up his record to 5-2 on the season.

Wake Forest 8 Maryland 5
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons came back from two three run deficits to deficit the Terps by an 8-5 score. Andy Goff hit his first homer of the season and Ben Terry went 4-4 to lead the Deacons attack. Wake Forest starter Brad Kledzik settled down after a rough first inning to allow five runs over his six innings.

The Clemson Tigers are leading Virginia Tech 5-1 in a suspended game which was stopped because of snow and heavy winds in the fifth inning. The teams will try to continue the game on Saturday.
