Oregon State sweeps Doubleheader

The Oregon State Beavers swept a doubleheader from Hawai'i-Hilo Friday afternoon by taking the first game 17-4 and the second one by 9-3. In game 1, the Beavers were led by Joe Peterson who pitched 5 innings giving up only 1 unearned run. The offensive side was led by lead-off hitter and shortstop Darwin Barney who went 2-4 with 3 RBI's. In game 2, Daniel Turpen led the pitching by going 4 innings and giving up 5 hits while only surrendering one run. Darwin Barney again led the offense by going 2-5 with 3 RBI's. Jordan Lennerton also chipped in with a 3-4 performance while scoring 2 runs. They will conclude the series on Saturday at 1:00 PM Hawaii time.
