South Alabama picked up a 10-8 victory over Southern Mississippi in non-conference action on Wednesday. The Jaguars used a five run fifth inning to turn a 8-5 deficit into a 10-5 lead. The Jaguars got a three run triple from Jeff Cunningham to take the lead. Stephen Boyd picked up his fourth win of the year for the Jaguars by going 2.2 innings while giving up a run. Southern Miss reliever Jordan King got the loss by going two-thirds of an inning while giving up three runs. Southern Miss will be back in action on Friday when they host Kent State for a three game set while South Alabama will welcome Arkansas State.
