The Citadel knocks off Charleston Southern

The Citadel picked up an 8-2 victory over the Charleston Southern Bucs on Tuesday night. They received a strong pitching effort from Chris McGuinness (3-2) who pitched five innings while giving up only two unearned runs to grab the win. The Citadel offensive star was Chris Swauger who had three hits including a home run and drove in three runs. Ryan Rowland (3-7) took the loss for Charleston Southern as he gave up five runs in three innings. Chris Krogmeier and Wes Brundridge each picked up two hits in the losing effort. The Citadel will be back in action this weekend when they head to Furman for a Thursday-Saturday while Charleston Southern hosts Radford.
