Southern Miss welcomes Kent State

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles will welcome the Kent State Golden Flashes for a three game set starting on Friday. The Golden Eagles enter the series with a 12-6 record and on a two game losing streak. They lost to Southeastern Louisiana and South Alabama in mid-week games and hope to get back on the right track this weekend. The Golden Flashes enter the series with a 5-8 record. They recorded two wins at the Louisville Invitational last weekend over Indiana State and hosts Louisville. The Golden Flashes have been kept off the scoreboard in three games already this season and hope to get their bats hot this weekend. Scott Stricklin took some time earlier this year to talk to the College Baseball Blog which can be read here.
