Winthrop drops Maryland

The Winthrop Eagles dropped Maryland on Friday afternoon by a score of 7-5. The Winthrop Eagles scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning off of All-American Closer Brett Cecil. The teams will be back at it on Saturday with Game 2 of their series.
