Mercer knocks off Miami

The Mercer Bears made a dramatic ninth inning comeback to knock off the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the three game set. Catcher, Josh Thompson lead the Bears with a 4-4 performance with 3 RBI's and a home run. The Hurricanes were unable to hold a 5-1 advantage behind a solid start from Manny Miguelez who went five innings allowing only one run. Mercer starter Brantley New struggled through five innings while giving up five earned runs. The teams continue the season on Saturday at 7 pm.
