UNC goes 2 and out
The Florida State Seminoles knocked the UNC Tar Heels out of the ACC Baseball Tournament today 7-6 in a wild come from behind win. Dennis Guinn hit a grand slam in the bottom sixth inning to take a 6-5 lead during the five run inning. UNC scored a run in the seventh to tie the game. The game continued tied until the bottom of the ninth inning when UNC closer Andrew Carignan came into the game. He immediately hit the lead off hitter in Tommy Oravetz, then walked Tony Thomas Jr., Danny Diaz then laid down a bunt to move the runners along by Carignan threw the ball to third base to try to get the lead runner but was too late as all runners were safe. Shane Robinson then came up and hit a single to right field with the infield and outfield in to win the game for the Seminoles.
