NCBWA June 12 Division I Poll

DALLAS - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 10th year with its 2007 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will be circulated from Feb. 12-June 26 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb. This will be the final poll until the postseason survey on June 26.

The poll voters come from 32 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. This week's poll has representation by a season-most 14 conferences (for the second week in succession and ties for a season-most) among the 293 baseball-playing schools in the '07 NCAA Division I ranks, and 17 circuits have had teams in the polls in '07. NCBWA May 28 Division I Poll

DALLAS - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its
tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 10th year with its 2007 weekly
surveys. Weekly polls will be circulated from Feb. 12-June 26 following the
NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb. All 16 2007 NCAA Regional sites are being
hosted by NCBWA Top 30 members.

The poll voters come from 32 college baseball writers and related media persons
from throughout the nation. This week's poll has representation by 13
conferences (ties for a season-most) among the 293 baseball-playing schools in
the '07 NCAA Division I ranks, and 17 circuits have had teams in the polls in

DALLAS - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 10th year with its 2007 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will be circulated from Feb. 12-June 26 following the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The poll voters come from 32 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. This week's poll has representation by nine different conferences among the 293 baseball-playing schools in the '07 NCAA Division I ranks, and 14 leagues have had teams in the polls in '07. "Louisville Slugger's" National Players of the Week



Justin Bour of George Mason also picked up the National Player of the Week award from the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Brandon Turner and David Price each were named National Co-Pitchers of the Week. Brandon Turner plays for Mount Vernon Nazarene and pitched a seven inning no-hitter over Shawnee State. David Price of Vanderbilt pitched a four hit complete game over Illinios Chicago. He struck out 16 batters and only allowed four hits.
